B.Tech and M.Tech in Food Science – Career and Colleges

Introduction: Food science is an important stream of life science discipline. With the advancement of technology it is developing every day. More and more sophisticated technologies, assays are being added up with this subject.

Scope in India and abroad:

Both the private industry and Govt. agencies dealing with food and beverages recruits specialists in food science. Some of the well known companies are ITC, Amul, Britannia Industries Ltd, Parle Products Pvt. Ltd, Surya Food & Agro Ltd, Lotus Chocolate Company Limited, Monsanto, Hershey’s, Mars, Nestlé etc.

Several national Institutes offer courses for higher studies in this regard for further studies such as CFTRI, Mysore; NIN, Hyderabad. Several Agricultural Universities may also offer courses related to Food Science.

ANGRAU Counseling Schedule 2011 for B.Sc., B.V.Sc., CABM and Food Science Courses

Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) has announced Counseling Notification for Combined Admission into following Bachelors courses for the academic year 2011-2012. The courses are offered in the disciplines of Agriculture, Food Science, Veterinary Science, CABM and Horticulture. Interested candidates can attend for the counseling at ‘Auditorium, College of Home Science, Saifabad, Near Secretariat, Hyderabad. Selection of the candidates for the following courses will be based on EAMCET 2011 ranks . Following are details of courses, fee and ranks wise counseling schedule:

1. B.V.Sc. and A.H
2. B.Sc.(Agriculture)
3. B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture
4. B.F.Sc.
5. B.Tech.(Food Science)
6. B.Sc.(Commercial Agriculture and Business Management)

Candidates should attend the counseling along with all original certificates. The selected candidates have to pay the fee for respective courses at the counseling center only. Following are details of fee for various courses:
