B.R.Ambedkar University Srikakulam- M.Phil., Ph.D. Admissions 2010-11

Dr.B.R. Ambedkar University, Etcherla, Srikakulam shall conduct Dr. BRAURESET for the purpose of admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programmes (Full time and Part time) for 2010-11. These programmes are offered in the subjects Biotechnology / Commerce / Management/ Economics/ Rural Development and
/ Social Work. Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in written test and interview. Candidates who cleared national level / state level exams such as GATE / CSIR / UGC-NET / SLET need not appear for written test and will be considered for direct admission provided they meet other admission conditions.

Eligibility: Applicants those applying for regular full time Ph.D. should have Post Graduation in the concerned subject with at least 55 percent (50 percent for SC/ ST candidates) marks. You should qualify in any one of the following tests: Dr. BRAURESET / UGC-NET / GATE / CSIR / SLET / Other Equivalent National Level Examination. Candidates working as Teachers, Non- Teaching staff, Lecturers, Librarians and executives in Banks, Industries, Financial Institutions etc will be considered for M.Phil / Ph.D (Part-time) admissions. Structure of Dr. BRAURESET:

Written Test containes two parts with 120 objective multiple choice questions need to be answered in 2 hours duration.

1. Section-A : General Aptitude – 30 questions: Questions will be asked from the topics such as Reasoning (5 questions), Logical Reasonins (10), Data Interpretation (5), Information and Communication Technology (5) and Research Aptitude (5).

2. Section- B: Concerned Subject – 90 questions. Questions will be given from 5 most important units in the subject / discipline concerned.

Qualified candidates in Written Exam will be short listed for interview which will be for 100 marks. These are distributed as 50 marks for Research Proposal and 50 marks for Discussion and Presentation.
