  2. Mr.Prashanth.. If you are planning to get in to some design jobs, or teaching
profession you can either go Structural Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
But.. Going for M.Tech Construction Engineering and Management is just a waste.
because many of my seniors are still struggling to find a job, even after completion
of that course. It is just like an M.B.A course and there is no point in doing a specialisation
in such a course, you will not gain any kind of technical knowledge with that course.
And most of the companies both in India and abroad will not hire a graduate
with such kind of Degree… If you are planning to get a name sake degree,
you can go for that, but there is no point in wasting your 2 years..

Mr. Selva… Ofcourse M.Tech Infrastructural Engineering and Transportation Engineering
are good courses. but colleges offering these courses are less.
ya.. It’s there in PSG Tech coimbatore and in some Anna Universities and Govt Engg colleges.

Mr. Venkitesh.. I think you are the 8th person to ask me about Const Engg and Management.
In my opinion, Don’t go for that course. I’ve mentioned the reasons in the above comments.
Or else you can ask to some M.Tech students doing this course..

  3. yes Mr. Arun… with your marks, you can easily get in to some good engg
colleges.. even you have chances to get in to some Govt. colleges..
    and…
Mr. Vishal… I’ve no idea about M.Tech courses in Electrical engg,
since I belong to Civil Engineering branch, i can guide some one opting
M.Tech in any Civil Engineering branches…

Ms.Saranya…I think your decision to do M.Tech Structural Engineering,
is a good idea. Because it is one of the Civil P.G course with
highest demand. And while selecting colleges during counselling, u better go
for some good colleges. Don’t just blindly go for some Anna Universities,
and some Govt. Engineering Colleges. Ofcourrse Anna University Guindy and some other
Govt. colleges are good… But the level of teaching and classes will not
be up to the standard. You will find it very difficult to study the subjects all alone by referring the library books. Because in many of the Govt engg colleges, they run the P.G course with guest lucturers… Since I am being a M.Tech student of Anna university, I know it very well.
