Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University Admissions 2011-12

Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TNVASU), Chennai has announced notification for admission into various Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Programmes for the academic year 2011-12. TNVASU is a specialized state university for training and research in veterinary, animal sciences and allied fields. Following are details of courses and application procedure:

1. Master’s and Research Programs: M.V.Sc. / M.F.Sc./ M.Tech. / Ph.D (both Veterinary and Fisheries) / M. Phil. (Biotechnology) / M. Phil. (Climate change and Fisheries) / M. Sc. (Biostatistics) / M.Sc. (Bioinformatics)

2. PG Diploma Programs (Full Time): Bioinformatics / Companion Animal Practice / Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosis / Wild Animal Disease Management / Fish Quality Management

3. Part Time – Evening Course: PG Diploma in Business Management in Animal and Fisheries Sciences

4. PG Diploma Courses (Distance Education / Online Mode Courses): Small Animal Orthopedics (PGDORT) / Veterinary Ophthalmology (PGDOPH) / Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Medicine (PGDECM)/ Small Animal Dermatology (PGDDER) / Diversified Poultry Production (PGDDPP)/ Feed Manufacturing Technology (PGDFMT) / Commercial Poultry Production and Management (PGDPPM) / Ethno Veterinary Practices (PGDEVP).

Filled in application forms along with registration fee should be sent to ‘Office of the Chairman, Admission Committee (PG), Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Madhavaram Milk Colony, Chennai-600051’. Last date for submission of filled in application is 8th August 2011.

AIPVT Results and Counseling Schedule

Veterinary Council of India (VCI), New Delhi has announced AIPVT 2011 Results. The All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) has been held on 14th May 2011 across the country for admission into 15 percent seats in Bachelors courses in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. and A.H) and allied courses for the academic year 2011-12. The Results of AIPVT 2011 are available at http://www.vciresults.com/result2011.aspx OR www.vci-india.in . You can enter your roll no. and click on the button ‘Get Result’ to get your results.

The Veterinary Council of India has also released Counseling Schedule for AIPVT qualified candidates. Following is the counseling schedule for qualified candidates:

1) 21-07-2011: Ranks 1 to 132 (10-30 AM to 2-30 PM); Place: Committee Room of Council’s Office at New Delhi
2) 22-07-2011: Ranks 133 to 263 (10-30 AM to 2-30 PM); Place : Committee Room of Council’s Office at New Delhi.

15 percent seats in BVSc and AH courses in various Veterinary Colleges in the country will be filled through ranks in AIPVT 2011. Veterinary Council of India conducts this test at the national level.
