SCDL- Symbiosis Distance Learning Admissions 2011-12

Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL), an arm of Symbiosis International University issued notification for admission to various PG Diploma Programs of 1 year and 2 year duration along with . certificate courses. Symbioisis University is one of the best private educational institutes in Maharashtra, based in Pune. The institute is offering courses in advanced specialisations such as retail management, Educational Administration and Insurance Management. Following are details of courses and application procedure for the year 2011-12:

Two-year PG Diploma programmes:

1. PGD in Business Administration (PGDBA)

One-year PG Diploma programme:

1. PGD in Insurance Management (PGDIM)
2. PGD in Retail Management (PGDRM)
3. PGD in Customer Relationship Management (PGDCRM)
4. PGD in Supply Chain Management (PGDSCM)
5. PGD in Instructional Design (PGDID)
6. PGD in Pre-Primary Teacher’s Training (PGDPTT)
7. PGD in Technical Writing (PGDTW)

Other Courses:
1. Advanced Diploma in Creative Writing In English (ADCW)
2. Diploma in Creative Writing In English (DCW)

Six-Month certificate programme:

1. Entrepreneurship Development (CPED)
2. Right to Information Act (CPRTI)
3. Cyber Laws (CPCLl)
4. Consumer Protection Act (CPCPA)

Admission Procedure; SCDL is conducting Walk-in admissions for all the above courses. Students may attend walk in sessions at SCDL with the completed application form, registration fee and all other relevant documents. Candidates can also apply through post by downloading the form from the center’s website at http://www.scdl.net/admissionprocess.asp . Admission process will commence from 3rd week of April 2011.

SIMS Executive PGDM Admissions 2011-12

Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), a constituent of the Symbiosis International University, Pune inviting applications for Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) for 2011-12. The duration of the program is 12+ months. PGDM is offered with specialisations in Marketing, Finance and Operations. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:

Eligibility: Applicants should be graduates with minimum 50 percent marks in aggregate and should have 5 years work experience after graduation. Graduates from any discipline can apply. Selection of candidates will be based on Group Discussions and Personal Interview. Candidates should bring photo identity proof (any valid) and all original marks sheets/ degree/ work experience for verification at the time of GD and PI.

Candidates can apply either online or offline. You can download application forms from the website www.sims.edu. Filled in forms should be sent to ‘The Director, Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Range Hills Road, Opposite Station Workshop EME, Khadki, Pune 411 020, Maharashtra’ along with relevant copies of certificates and a DD for Rs. 1000 drawn in favour of ‘Director, SIMS’ payable at Pune.
