All Indian Management Association (AIMA) and Centre for Management Education (CME) in jointly conducting Research Management Aptitude Test (RMAT 2011) for admission into Ph.D. (Business Administration) for the year 2012-13 in various participating institutes of AIMA. The course is being conducted in association with Aligarh Muslim University. The test is named as Research Management Aptitude Test December 2011 and also known as R-MAT. This is a good effort on the part of AIMA to streamline the research admissions in various management universities, colleges and business schools. Following are details of eligibility, exam scheme, test schedule and application procedure:
Eligibility Requirements: Candidate those applying for R-MAT December 2011 should have Master’s Degree in Management or allied subjects such as Commerce, Humanities, Science, Engineering and Law etc. Candidates with a PGDM / PGDITM degrees duly approved by AICTE with not less than 55 percent marks are also eligible. Candidates with professional qualifications like Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy or any other professional qualification that is considered equivalent to Master Degree with at least 55 percent marks also can apply.
Candidates should have minimum 5 years of post qualification work experience in industry at the managerial level or they should have a minimum of 3 years of work experience as a faculty at a Management college or Institute. Selection of the candidates will be based on a Computer Based Written Test called Research Management Aptitude Test (R-MAT). Those qualified in R-MAT would be called for a Personal Interview to be conducted at AIMA, New Delhi.
