Applications are invited by the Periyar University, Tamil Nadu for admissions into Ph.D programmes for the academic session 2016. The selection process will consist of written test and personal interview.

Ph.D programmes are offered in the subject of Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Commerce, Management Studies, Psychology, English, Economics, Sociology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Library and Information Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Botany, Zoology, Maths, Energy Studies, Food Science and Nutrition, Textile and Opceral Design, Environmental Science and Physical Education.

Applicant must have Masters Degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55 percent marks in aggregate. Duration of programme is four years. Last date for the receipt of filled in application form is 31st December, 2015.

Eligible candidates should apply to The Registrar, Periyar University, Periyar Palikalai Nagar, Salem, Tamil Nadu – 636 011 along with duly filled in application form and photocopies of mark sheets.

Periyar University, Salem has announced notification for admissions into M.Phil and Ph.D programmes for the academic session 2015-16.

Courses : M.Phil and Ph.D.
Subjects : Biochemistry, Tamil, Botany, Maths, Zoology, History, Physics, English, Chemistry, Economics, Computer Science, Commerce, Cooperation, Political Science, Public Administration, Microbiology, Management, Statistics, Biotechnology, Food Processing and Agricultural Science.

Applicants should have Post Graduation in relevant subject with minimum 55 percent marks in aggregate. Duration of programme is 2 years for M.Phil and 3 to 4 years for Ph.D programmes.

The application fee is Rs. 500 for Ph.D and Rs. 200 (for M.Phil) in the form of DD drawn in favour of The Registrar, Periyar University, Salem which should be enclosed along with application form. The selection will be made through entrance test.

Duly filled in application form along with relevant documents and fee DD should reach the Registrar, Periyar University, Salem, Tamil Nadu – 636 011. Last date for the receipt of filled in application form for Ph.D is 31st July and 6th August, 2015 for M.Phil course.
