MGIMS Wardha MBBS Admissions 2013-14

Kasturba Health Society’s, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS), Wardha has announced notification for admission into MBBS course for the academic session 2013 – 14. The selection will be made through Entrance Examination conducted by MGIMS which will be held on 21st April, 2013 at the center of Nagpur, Hyderabad Mumbai, Varanasi, Delhi and Kolkata.

Eligibility : Passed in Intermediate with minimum 50 percent marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Age : Must be completed 17 years. Duration of course : Four years.

Application form : The prescribed application forms can be downloaded from website : www.mgims.ac.in or obtained from the cash counter of Dean’s Office on payment of Rs. 4000.

The completed application form in the prescribed format along with all relevant supporting documents and fee challan should be sent to The Dean, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, P.O. Sevagram, Wardha, Maharastra – 442102.

Closing date for the sale of applications are 5th March, 2013. Last date for the receipt of completed application form is 15th March, 2013. Competitive Entrance Examination will be conducted on 21st April, 2013.

CBSE to Conduct NEET 2013-14 on 12th May 2013

At last, NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) examination dates for 2013-14 have been announced. The NEET (UG) is aimed at admission to MBBS and BDS programmes from the academic year 2013-14. The NEET 2013 will be held on 12th May 2013. This will be first NEET examination being held after lengthy discussions across the country and within the MHRD, Government of India.

The CBSE will conduct conduct the examination across the country on 12th May 2013. The CBSE has held a meeting of representatives from all the states on 22nd August 2012 at New Delhi and finalised the date of NEET. It is reported that the question paper of NEET 2013 will be given in some regional languages also along with English and Hindi.

Initially, several states have not accepted the NEET proposal on the grounds of variations in state board syllabus and CBSE syllabus. Number of State Governments have changed the syllabus to suit the NEET exam. The apprehensions over the realisation of NEET exam has been avaoided as the CBSE has finally fixed the dates.
