NCHMCT Admissions 2011-12 for M.Sc. Hospitality Administration

National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) has issued admission notification 2011 for M.Sc. Hospitality Administration to be offered in association with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi. Duration of the course is two years and offered in full time mode only. The course is offered at Institute of Hotel Management, New Delhi (Pusa) and it’s center at Bengaluru. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:

Eligibility and qualifications: Applicants should have B.Sc. Degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from NCHMCT and IGNOU; Candidates with Bachelors Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from any AICTE recognised institutes also can apply. Regular faculty of IHM affiliated to NCHMCT with two years of teaching experience and having good track record of teaching and possessing above eligibility requirements can also apply. They have to forward their applications through Principal of the Institute.

Application Procedure: Interested candidates can download application form and brochure containing program details and other information from the official website www.nchmct.org. Filled in application forms along with all relevant attested copies of testimonials and mark sheets and a DD for Rs.900/- (Rs.450/- for SC/ ST/ PH Category candidates) drawn in favour of ‘National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology, payable at Noida / New Delhi should be send to ‘Director (A&F), National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), A-34, Sector 62, Noida- 201 301 (Uttar Pradesh). Seats available is 25 in each institute. Selection of the candidates will be based on the marks obtained in qualifying examinations. Reservations apply as per the rules of the Government. Candidates those admitted into the course having with 60 percent and above marks in qualifying examination will receive fellowship of Rs.7000/- per month for 1st Semester. TIFR Mumbai M.Sc, Ph.D., Integrated Ph.D. Admissions 2012

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai has announced admission notification 2012 for M.Sc., Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. Programmes for the year 2012-13. The Graduate School of the TIFR is conducting these programmes. TIFR is a deemed university and highly reputed for education and research in basic sciences in India. The notification is for the above courses starting from 1st August 2012. TIFR shall conduct national level entrance examination for short listing the candidates. Following are details of the programmes, entrance test and application procedure:

1) M.Sc.: Biology (TIFR, Mumbai, Duration is 3 years)
2) M.Sc.: Wildlife Biology and Conservation (NCBS, Bangalore, Duration is 2 years).
3) Ph.D.: Mathematics (TIFR, Mumbai and CAM, Bangalore)
4) Ph.D.: Physics, Chemistry, Computer and Sytems Sciences, Biology (TIFR, Mumbai and NCBS, Bangalore). Duration is 5 years.
5) Integrated Ph.D.: Mathematics (CAM, Bangalore); Duration is 6 years.
6) Integrated Ph.D.: Biology (TIFR, Mumbai and NCBS, Bangalore). Duration is 6 years.

Candidates will be selected based on the written test at several nationwide centres. Those qualified in the written test will be called for interviews. Interviews will be held during end February to early April, 2012. Exact dates dates of interviews will be announced later. Results of the all India level entrance examination will be announced on January 18, 2012 on TIFR website univ.tifr.res.in .
