RINPAS Admissions 2011-13 for Diploma, M.Phil. and Ph.D. Courses

Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS) Ranchi issued notification for admission to Diploma, M.Phil, P.G. and Ph.D. courses for the year 2011-13/14 th Session. RINPAS offers stipend for all the admitted candidates. (Rs.5000/- & Rs. 5500/- to M.Phil and Ph.D students will get Rs. 5000 and Rs. 5500 per month respectively and D.P.N. students will be given Rs. 3000/- per month as stipend. Selection will be based on performance in Written examination and Interivew. Following are details of courses, eligibility and application procedure:

1. M.D. (Psychiatry): 1 Seat; Duration: 3 years for M.B.B.S. degree holders and 2 years for D.P.M. holders (2 years).
2. Diploma in Psychological Medicine (D.P.M.): 1 Seat; Duration : 2 years; Qualification: M.B.B.S.
3. Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology: 4 Seats; Duration : 2 years; Qualification: Should have Diploma / M.Phil in Medical and Social Psychology / Clinical Psychology of 2 years duration.
4. Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work: 4 Seats; Duration : 3 years for M.A. Social Work OR M.S.W. and 2 years for DPSW OR M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work. Qualification: M. A. Social Work OR M.S.W. with at least 60 percent marks. Those with DPSW/ M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work can also apply.
5. M.Phil in Medical and Social Psychology: 12 Seats; Duration : 2 years; Qualification : M.A. in Psychology with minimum 50 percent marks.
6. M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work: 12 Seats; Duration : 2 years; Qualification : M.A. Social Work/ Sociology with at least 50 percent marks.
7. Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing: 6 Seats; Duration : One year; Qualification: ‘A’ Grade Certificate OR Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery along with 2 years experience as Staff Nurse.

The written examination will be conducted on 12th February 2011. Interviews will be held on 13th Febuary 2011. Candidates have to produce all relevant original certificates at the time of written examination. Candidates have to apply in the prescribed proforma with all the details available on the institute website www.rinpas.nic.in . Filled in forms along with a DD for Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/ST applicants) drawn in favour of ‘Director, RINPAS’ and payable at Ranchi should reach ‘Director, Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS), Kanke, Ranchi – 834006’. Last date for receipt of applications is 5th February 2011.

B.R.Ambedkar University Srikakulam- M.Phil., Ph.D. Admissions 2010-11

Dr.B.R. Ambedkar University, Etcherla, Srikakulam shall conduct Dr. BRAURESET for the purpose of admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programmes (Full time and Part time) for 2010-11. These programmes are offered in the subjects Biotechnology / Commerce / Management/ Economics/ Rural Development and
/ Social Work. Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in written test and interview. Candidates who cleared national level / state level exams such as GATE / CSIR / UGC-NET / SLET need not appear for written test and will be considered for direct admission provided they meet other admission conditions.

Eligibility: Applicants those applying for regular full time Ph.D. should have Post Graduation in the concerned subject with at least 55 percent (50 percent for SC/ ST candidates) marks. You should qualify in any one of the following tests: Dr. BRAURESET / UGC-NET / GATE / CSIR / SLET / Other Equivalent National Level Examination. Candidates working as Teachers, Non- Teaching staff, Lecturers, Librarians and executives in Banks, Industries, Financial Institutions etc will be considered for M.Phil / Ph.D (Part-time) admissions. Structure of Dr. BRAURESET:

Written Test containes two parts with 120 objective multiple choice questions need to be answered in 2 hours duration.

1. Section-A : General Aptitude – 30 questions: Questions will be asked from the topics such as Reasoning (5 questions), Logical Reasonins (10), Data Interpretation (5), Information and Communication Technology (5) and Research Aptitude (5).

2. Section- B: Concerned Subject – 90 questions. Questions will be given from 5 most important units in the subject / discipline concerned.

Qualified candidates in Written Exam will be short listed for interview which will be for 100 marks. These are distributed as 50 marks for Research Proposal and 50 marks for Discussion and Presentation.

Eligible and Interested candidates can download application forms and instructions booklet with regulations from official website of the university ww.brau.in. You should pay fee of Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 for SC/ ST applicants) as DD drawn in favour of ‘The Registrar, Dr. BRAU, Srikakulam’ and payable at Etcherla. Filled in forms should reach ‘Registrar, Dr. B.R.
