Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS) Ranchi issued notification for admission to Diploma, M.Phil, P.G. and Ph.D. courses for the year 2011-13/14 th Session. RINPAS offers stipend for all the admitted candidates. (Rs.5000/- & Rs. 5500/- to M.Phil and Ph.D students will get Rs. 5000 and Rs. 5500 per month respectively and D.P.N. students will be given Rs. 3000/- per month as stipend. Selection will be based on performance in Written examination and Interivew. Following are details of courses, eligibility and application procedure:
1. M.D. (Psychiatry): 1 Seat; Duration: 3 years for M.B.B.S. degree holders and 2 years for D.P.M. holders (2 years).
2. Diploma in Psychological Medicine (D.P.M.): 1 Seat; Duration : 2 years; Qualification: M.B.B.S.
3. Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology: 4 Seats; Duration : 2 years; Qualification: Should have Diploma / M.Phil in Medical and Social Psychology / Clinical Psychology of 2 years duration.
4. Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work: 4 Seats; Duration : 3 years for M.A. Social Work OR M.S.W. and 2 years for DPSW OR M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work. Qualification: M. A. Social Work OR M.S.W. with at least 60 percent marks. Those with DPSW/ M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work can also apply.
5. M.Phil in Medical and Social Psychology: 12 Seats; Duration : 2 years; Qualification : M.A. in Psychology with minimum 50 percent marks.
6. M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work: 12 Seats; Duration : 2 years; Qualification : M.A. Social Work/ Sociology with at least 50 percent marks.
7. Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing: 6 Seats; Duration : One year; Qualification: ‘A’ Grade Certificate OR Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery along with 2 years experience as Staff Nurse.
The written examination will be conducted on 12th February 2011. Interviews will be held on 13th Febuary 2011. Candidates have to produce all relevant original certificates at the time of written examination. Candidates have to apply in the prescribed proforma with all the details available on the institute website www.rinpas.nic.in . Filled in forms along with a DD for Rs. 500 (Rs. 250 for SC/ST applicants) drawn in favour of ‘Director, RINPAS’ and payable at Ranchi should reach ‘Director, Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS), Kanke, Ranchi – 834006’.
