Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR), Roorkee (Uttarakhand) has announced notification for admission into Ph.D. Programmes for the academic year 2012 – 13. The Institute is offering under graduation Courses of IDD and Integrated M.Tech. in Engineering and Architecture and PG Courses in Engineering, Sciences, Architecture, Technology and Business Administration.
Ph.D. programmes are offered in the departments of Alternate Hydro-Energy Centre, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Architecture and Planning, Chemistry, Earthquake Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Earth Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Hydrology, Mathematics, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Management Studies, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Paper Technology, Physics, Water Resources Development and Management.
Eligibility : Applicants should have Post Graduation in any branch of Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Urban and Rural Planning / Pharmacy / Computer Applications / Sciences / Humanities and Social Sciences / Management / B.Tech. / B.Arch. degree or equivalent with minimum first class marks in aggregate. Candidates must have qualified in GATE / NET / GPAT score.
The application fee is Rs. 200. Fee should be deposited in any branch of State Bank of India through challan. Eligible candidates can apply online through website : www.iitr.ernet.in. The hard copy of application form along with challan should be sent to the Chairman, PG Admissions office, IIT Roorkee, Roorkee – 247 667, Uttarakhand. Last date for the submission of hard copy of application form is 2nd November, 2012. Last date for the deposit of fee is 26th October, 2012. Opening and Closing dates for the registration of online application is 26th September to 26th October, 2012.
