IIT Roorkee Admissions

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee) has announced Ph.D Admissions notification for the academic year 2016-17. The selection of the candidates for various disciplines will be through entrance examination and personal interviews.

The Ph.D is offered in the disciplines of Architecture and Planning, Chemical, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical, Earth Science, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science, Hydrology, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Physics, Paper Technology, Nanotechnology, Water Resource Development etc.

Candidates should have post Graduation in the relevant discipline. Preference will be given to the candidates with GATE / NET qualification.

Online applications can be submitted through IIT Roorkee website from 23 August 2016. Last date for the submission of online applications is 14 September 2016. For more information, see the website.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admissions into Ph.D programmes for the year 2015-16. The selection will be made through entrance test. Duration of programm is 3 to 4 years.

Ph.D programmes are offered in the department of Architecture and Planning, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Civil, Earthquake, Electrical Engineering, Earth Sciences, ECE, CSE, Hydrology, H and S, Management Studies, Maths, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Physics, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Paper Technology, Disaster Mitigation and Management, Water Resources Development and Management, Nanotechnology, Transportation Systems and other departments.

Applicants must have BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech / M.Sc / MA. Interested and eligible candidates should apply at http://www.iitr.ernet.in. Opening and closing date for online registration is 10th February and 2nd March respectively. Last date for the receipt of hard copy of application form is 9th March, 2015.
