IIT JEE 2012 Online Counseling Schedule and Eligible Candidates
The Counseling Schedule for IIT JEE 2012 qualified candidates has been announced by JEE 2012 Chairman G.D. Reddy on 18th May 2012. The Online web counseling will commence from 25th May 2012. There will be separate website for entry of web options for various IITs and Branches. The last date for the entry of web options is 10th June 2012.
IIT JEE 2012 has been held on 8th April 2012. About 4.8 lakh candidates appeared across the country. Out of these, 24112 candidates were allotted ranks in different categories. There are 9647 seats in Engineering and Dual Degree courses of IITs and other institutes. 19426 candidates were short listed for counseling.
Following are the details of qualified candidates for counseling from various categories:
1. General Category: 9723
2. OBC Category: 4805
3. SC Category: 3464
4. ST Category: 1112
Eligible candidates can enter web options till 5 PM on 10th June 2012. Seat allotment will be done online only. Candidates will have the option to cancel the allotted seat before joining in the college. There will be no preparatory list for SC and ST categories as there are good number of qualified candidates are available this year for the reserved seats.
