Apart from IISc, premier technical institutes in India, IITs also offering M.Sc courses. They conduct admissions through JAM (Joint Admission Test for M.Sc). The JAM 2018 notification has been issued for the academic year 2018-19.

JAM 2018 will be held on 11 February 2018 (Sunday) for admission into M.Sc (two years), Joint M.Sc – Ph.D, M.Sc – Ph.D dual degree programmes at IITs.
The participating IITs are Bhubaneswar,k Bombay, Delhi, Dhanbad, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanur, Madras, Patna, Roorkee and Ropar.
IISc Bangalore will use JAM score for admission to integrated Ph.D degree programmes. Candidates have to apply online only from September 5 to 10th October 2017. For more information, see jam.iitb.ac.in . JAM 2018 is organised by IIT Bombay.
