ICMR International Fellowships in Biomedical Sciences 2013-14

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has announced International Fellowship 2013 in the young scientist and senior scientist categories. Candidates will be selected based on academic merit and research skills. Candidates can download application forms from the website http://www.icmr.nic.in/ifc_announce.htm .

Young Scientist – Biomedical: 12 fellowships are available. Selected candidates will get $ 3000 per month as stipend. Candidates should have MD / Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences along with teaching / research experience.

Senior Scientist Category: 6 fellowships. Candidates should have the qualifications as mentioned above. Age should be below 55 years.

National Institute of Epidemiology-Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute Admissions 2011

ICMR School of Public Health, National Institute of Epidemiology (ICMR) is inviting applications for admission to Master of Public Health (Epidemiology and Health Systems) and Post Graduate Diploma in HIV Epidemiology for the year 2011-12. Courses are offered in off campus mode at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram. NIE is working under Department of Health Research, Govt. of India. Following are the details of eligibility and application process:

1. Master of Public Health (Epidemiology and Health Systems): Duration is 2 years;
2. Post Graduate Diploma in HIV Epidemiology: Duration of the course is 1 year.
3. Date of commencement of the courses: 1st July 2011
4. Last date for receipt of application forms: 15th March 2011
