Governent of Andhra Pradesh is in the process of finalising formalities for the recruitment of village volunteers in the state. The details of minimum educational qualifications and selection process are being discussed and will be notified by the Government. The Government is also expected to take a decision on the handing over of recruitment responsibilities to APPSC or revenue department or any other agency.

Educational Qualifications:
The Government of AP decided the following qualifications for Village Volunteers / Grama Volunteers in various localities:
1) Candidates should have Degree qualification for appointment in towns and urban areas.
2) For Village Volunteers in Villages, candidates need pass in Intermediate Education.
3) For tribal / schedules areas, pass in 10th class / SSC is the minimum qualification for village volunteers posts.
AP Government is proposed to complete the recruitment process by 15th August 2019. It is proposed to appoint a village volunteer for each 50 households in the villages and urban areas. They will be supporting the administration in the implementation of welfare scheme of the Government.
Exam Pattern:
Andhra Pradesh Government will announce details of selection process for village volunteers. The recruiting agency (APPSC / other agency) will decide the exam pattern and scheme and syllabus for the test.
Application Process:
The application process will be at the mandal / district level as the posts will be located at the village level. The district / mandal level selection committees will be involved in the selection process. Online application process and details will be released soon by the recruiting agency / department.
