VITEEE 2011 Notification-Eligibility and Scholarships

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University is one of the best technical institutions in the country. VIT conducts All India Level Entrance Examination VITEEE – 2011 for admission to various engineering programmes (B.Tech). The exam will be conducted on 16th April 2011. VIT has excellent track record of quality of teaching, infrastructure, laboratories and placements. Interested candidates can apply online through www.vit.ac.in or offline by obtaining application forms from designated post offices. VIT also offers scholarships for 1 to 100 rankers in VITEEE 2011 under ‘GV Schools Development Programme (GVSDP). Those secured 1 to 50 ranks in VITEEE will get 70 percent tuition fee waiver. Candidates between 51 – 100 ranks will get 50 percent fee waiver an toppers of State Board Exams will get 100 percent fee waiver. All the scholarships and waivers apply for all 4 years of the course. The Test will be conducted across all important cities in the country along with Dubai, Singapore and Riyadh.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should have passed in 10+2 or its equivalent with 60 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB). SC /ST candidates and those hailing from J and K and North Eastern States require minimum 50 percent marks. Those studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) are eligible for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering programmes only. Those appearing final year exams in March – April 2011 also eligible to apply.

AIEEE 2011 Notification-Online Application

The Tenth All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) notification has been released. The AIEEE 2011 will be held on 24th April, 2011. Approximately 26816 seats for BE / B.Tech and 936 seats for B.Architecture / B. Planning in various National Institutes of Technology (NITs), IIITs, Deemed Universities, Delhi Technological University, Delhi and other Govt. funded Institutions along with so many other technical institutions will be filled through AIEEE- 2011. There are two mode of examination from this year for AIEEE. These are 1. Online Examination (In selected cities only) 2. Offline Examination (Pen and Paper mode) as conducted earlier. Seats will be filled through all India counseling to be conducted by Central Counseling Board. Details of prominent institutes, reputed NITs and Non- NITs and IIITs also provided on this blog. Following are other details of AIEEE -2011.

Essential Eligibility: 1. For Engineering- Applicants should have studied +2 / Intermediate with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects. And have studied any one of these- Chemistry / Biotechnology/ Computer Science/ Biology. 2. For B.Arch/ B.Planning: Must have studied Mathematics with 50 percent marks at 10+2 level. Those appearing for the final year examination also eligible for all the courses.

Exam Pattern:

1. Paper 1 (For BE/ B.Tech): Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics: Objective Type Questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

2. Paper 2 (For B.Arch./ B.Planning):
Mathematics – Part I (Objective Type Questions)
Aptitude Test – Part II (Objective Type Questions)
Drawing Test – Part III (Objective Type Questions): Questions to test drawing aptitude

Details of Online Application and Examination:

AIEEE 2011 will be conducted online as well in some selected cities. But the total number of candidtes allowed to take Online exam is one lakh only for B.E./ B.Tech. courses. All the remaining candidates have to appear for Pen and paper mode exam. Those willing to appear for online exam must apply online only through www.aieee.nic.in . Fee must be paid in debt / credit mode only. Details of this process is available on the website. Online Applications can be submitted between 23-11-2010 to 14-01-2011 (5 PM).
