Important Books to Read for Engineering Entrance Exams like VITEEE, IIT JEE and Others

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is one of the top engineering institutions in India. Known as VIT Vellore, the group has campuses at Vellore, Chennai, Amaravati (AP) and Bhopal. VIT University conducts separate entrance examination known as VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) for admission into various BE / B.Tech programmes in its campuses. The exam is considered as one of the toughest engineering entrance examinations after IIT JEE.

As we all know, any Engineering entrance exam consists of three subjects, Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. The candidates should have sound knowledge of basics in all the subjects to excel in any of these standard entrance tests.

VIT Engineering Entrance Exam – Latest Updates

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT University) has started entrance examinations for engineering admissions for the academic year 2018-19. The computer based VITEEE will be conducted till 15th April.

Various VIT campuses:

VIT has informed that the VITEEE will be conducted in 175 exam centres in India, Dubai, Kuwait, Muscat and Qatar for admission to various UG courses. VIT has campuses at Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal and Amaravathi.

2.2 lakhs candidates:

VIT is offering 18 B.Tech and other UG programmes at Vellore campus, 7 B.Tech. programmes at Chennai campus and 3 B.Tech. programmes at Bhopal and another 4 B.Tech. programmes at Amaravathi campus.

About 2.12 lakh candidates have applied for VITEEE. Out of these, 33,319 applications were received from Andhra Pradesh, 23,664 application from Uttar Pradesh, 20,377 from Maharashtra, 18,937 from Telangana State another 16,824 applications from Tamil Nadu.

Results of VITEEE:

The results of VITEEE 2018 will be announced by VIT University on the website of the institute at www.vit.ac.in by the end of April 2018. There will be centralised counseling for the qualified candidates.
