CSIR – UGC NET on 18 December 2016 for JRF and Lectureship

Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and University Grants Commission (UGC) are jointly conducting CSIR – UGC NET December 2016. The exam will be held in the disciplines of Chemical Sciences, Earch Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

CSIR – UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) will be held on 18 December 2016. Candidates should have Post Graduation / BS – MS / Four Year BS / MBBS or its equivalent in the subject concerned.

Candidates those qualified in the CSIR – UGC NET will be awarded JRF and Lectureship. Those qualified in JRF will be eligible for both fellowship and lectureship.

Age of the candidates applying for JRF should be below 28 years as on 1 July 2016. No maximum age limit for Lectureship.

Examination Scheme and Pattern:

There will be single paper with MCQ held in two sessions on 18 December 2016. The exam consists of three parts as given below:

Part A: General Aptitude
Part B: MCQs related to the subject
Part C: MCQs with high standard from the subject.

Online application process commences from 16 August 2016. Last date for the receipt of online applications is 16 September 2016. Admit cards can be downloaded from the website from the first week of December 2016. For more details, see www.csirhrdg.res.in .
