AP Excise Constables PET Events and Measurements 2012

Excise Constables Recruitment will consist of multiple rounds of selections. The initial round is Physical Efficiency Test (PET). There will be five events in the PET round. These are given below. Candidates will be scrutinized for physical measurements Test before they appear for PET. Here are details of Physical Measurements and PET:

1) For Men: Height should not be less than 165 cm. and Chest shall not be less than 81 cm. Minimum expansion on full expiration will be 5 cm. Relaxations in height is applicable for ST Category candidates.

2) For Women: Height shall not be less than 152.5 cm and weight should be minimum 45.5kg.

3) Visual Standards: Right Eye : Near vision 0.5 (Snellen) Distant 6/6 and Left Eye : Near vision 0.5 (Snellen) Distant 6/6 . Candidates with Color blindness, squint or any bordlid condition of the eyes of lids of either eye, pigeon chest, hammertoes, flat foot, varicose veins, knock-knees, fractured limbs or decayed teeth are not eligible.

Physical Efficiency Test: Candidates with the above measurements will be allowed to appear for PET. There are five events for men and 3 events for women. All the candidates have to clear events in respective categories as mentioned below. Those qualified in PET will be short listed for written examinations.

AP Excise Constables Notification 2012, Online Application and District Wise Posts

The Department of Excise and Prohibition, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh (cpe.cgg.gov.in) has issued notification to recruit constables across the state. There are 2606 vacancies in total. All the districts will issue separate notifications and candidates will have to apply responding to that district wise notifications. Here we are giving details of district wise posts, selection process and online application procedure:

Application Procedure: Interested candidates can apply through cpe.cgg.gov.in . Online application facility will open from 15th October 2012 and last date for the receipt of online registrations is 5th November 2012. The application fee is Rs.300 for OC and BC candidates and Rs.150 for others.

Selection Procedure: Selection procedure for Excise Constables in AP consists of multiple stages such as Physical Efficiency Test (PET), written examination, certificate verification and medical examinations.
