Computational Biology

Here is a new age course in Biology. Applications are invited by three reputed universities in Tamilnadu for admission to DBT- sponsored Network M.Sc. Computational Biology. This teaching programme is offered at Pondicherry University, Anna University and Madurai Kamaraj University under Network mode. Selections will be based on merit in a common entrance examination to be conducted on May 27, 2012. Number of seats are 36. These are distributed as 12 er each university. Best part of the programme is selected candidates will get a studentship of Rs. 5000 per month.

Eligibility Conditions: Applicants should have Bachelor’s degree in any relevant subject of Physical/ Chemical/ Life Sciences / Mathematics/ Computer Science with minimum 55 percent marks. They should have studied Mathematics at +2 level. Candidates with Bachelor of Engineering and MBBS with Mathematics at +2 level are also eligible to apply.

Hard copy of the application along with relevant enclosures should be sent to The Deputy Registrar (Academic II), Pondicherry University, R.V. Nagar, Kalapet, Puducherry 605 014 . You can also obtain forms from Pondicherry University Staff Co-operative Society at the University campus. Application fee is Rs. 100/- (Rs. 50/- for SC / ST candidates and fee is exempted for differently abled candidates).
