CICT Fellowships

Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT), Chennai is inviting applications for the award of Doctoral Fellowships for the year 2013-14. The amount of fellowship is Rs. 12,000/- per month for 2 years. The contingency grant is Rs.12,000/- per annum.

Applicants should have registered for Ph.D. in any recognized University or Institute. They should have Postgraduate Degree with at least 55 percent marks in Literature, Linguistics, or allied disciplines. The allied disciplines include Sociology, Epigraphy, Folklore, Education, Anthropology, Archaeology, Musicology, Performing Arts, Philosophy, etc.

Age should be below 30 years. Selection procedure consists of written examination and interviews.

Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT), Tamilnadu is inviting applications for the award of Post Doctoral Fellowships 2013-14 in the filed of Classical Tamil. The Postdoctoral Fellowship includes award of Rs. 18,000 per month. Duration of the fellowship is 2 years. Contingency grant is Rs. 30000 per year.

Eligibility: Applicants should have Ph.D. Degree in Literature, Linguistics, or allied disciplines such as Anthropology, Education, Epigraphy, Folklore, Archaeology, Sociology, Musicology, Performing Arts, Philosophy etc.

Candidates those working in the areas of inter-disciplinary topics suc has Comparative Dravidian, Language Typology and Translation will be given preference.
