Central Institute of Classical Tamil (CICT), Chennai is inviting applications for the award of Doctoral Fellowships for the year 2013-14. The amount of fellowship is Rs. 12,000/- per month for 2 years. The contingency grant is Rs.12,000/- per annum.
Applicants should have registered for Ph.D. in any recognized University or Institute. They should have Postgraduate Degree with at least 55 percent marks in Literature, Linguistics, or allied disciplines. The allied disciplines include Sociology, Epigraphy, Folklore, Education, Anthropology, Archaeology, Musicology, Performing Arts, Philosophy, etc.
Age should be below 30 years. Selection procedure consists of written examination and interviews.

Filled in forms have to be sent to The Registrar, Central Institute of Classical Tamil, IRT Campus, 100 Feet Road, Taramani, Chennai – 600 113. The last date for receiving the applications is 31st October 2013.
