Armed Forces Medical (AFMC), Pune has announced results of MBBS Entrance Examination 2012. Candidates those qualified in written examination have to attend for interview as per the schedule given on the website afmc.nic.in / afmcdg1d.gov.in . Results also available on the above mentioned websites.

Interviews for the qualified candidates will start from 5th June 2012 and will be closed by 21st June 2012. List of qualified candidates with roll numbers have been displayed on the website. MBBS entrance test was held on 6th May 2012. The list is not displayed in the order of merit.

Call letters to the qualified candidates will be sent separately. If any candidates does not receive call letter for interview by 31st May 2012, please contact 011 – 23092349. If candidates have any other exam or interview on the same date, they should send request for change of interview of AFMC with supporting documents to Dean, AFMC, Sholapur Road, Pune – 411040. This should reach on or before 2nd June 2012. More details can be obtained from www.afmc.nic.in.

There are number of Medical Entrance Tests in India. Though the Governemnt is preparing to conduct NEET – UG from 2013 for MBBS admissions across the country, the candidates have to appear for several exams this year. Prestigious institutions such as CMC Vellore, MAHE Manipal, AFMC Pune, SRM University Bangalore etc are also conducting national level entrance exams for medical admissions. Candidates from all the states can appear for these exams. Most of these examinations will be in objective multiple choice type. This will be a easy task for the medical aspirants to prepare simultaneously for various exams. Following are some important medical entrance tests being conducted in India. The dates of applications and entrance exams are for academic year 2012-13. Details of seats are given as on date and subject to change at the time of counseling.

Most of these institute are accepting online applications. Interested candidates can visit the websites of respective institutes for the details of eligibility, selection procedure, scheme of entrance test and application procedure. Minimum eligibility for most of these exams is Intermediate or 10+ 2 with Biology, Chemistry and Physics subjects.
