Special Classes in BC Gurukuls – Training for 9th, 10th Grade Students

Mahatma Jyothiba Phule is conducting summer special classes for 9th and 10th class students in the Society of Welfare Gurukul Educational Institutions for Backward Classes in Telangana. Special classes run from Monday until the 20th of this month. These special classes are for students who have completed 8th grade and entered 9th grade, as well as students who have entered 9th to 10th grade. Authorities found that the students were lagging behind in education due to the corona not conducting the live classes properly. With this, students are given specialized training in Reading, Writing and Reasoning in the summer special classes.

In the ten joint districts, 20 schools for boys in class 9, 20 schools for girls, 21 schools for boys in class 10 and 20 schools for girls are being selected and trained. However, students are having trouble getting students from one gurukul school to move to another gurukul school in a remote area and study there. Some gurukul students who are currently preparing for 10th class and inter exams are also moving to other gurukuls and studying there as they are struggling to adapt to the new environment there before the annual exams. Meanwhile, the Telangana State United Teachers’ Federation has appealed to Mallya Bhatt, secretary of the society, to ensure that the teachers who teach 10th and inter classes in the summer attend to their duties in rotation and not on a daily basis. The PTG and TGT in the Society sought to grant earned leave for that period as they were working during the summer holidays.
