Indian Institute of Management- Kozikode (Kerala) a premier management institute in the country is offering Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). This is equivalent to Doctoral Program (Ph.D.) in Management. IIMs consider participants of Fellow Programs are future resources for research and teaching. Duration of FPM is 4 years and can be extended for 6 months and later one and half year with special approval. There will be no stipend for this extended period. Candidates have to complete course work in the first two years. Next two should be dedicated for research and preparation of dissertation / thesis. Applicants should have any of the following qualifications:

1. Any Post – Graduate degree (including arts, commerce and humanities disciplines) with minimum 55 percent marks.
2. CA, CWA and CS qualified candidates can also apply. They should have at least 50 percent marks.
3. Professional qualifications like MBBS, LLB, B.Tech and BE are also considered. These candidates need 3 years experience for applying to Marketing specialisation.
4. Those appearing for the final year exams of qualifying degree can also apply.

Following specializations are available in FPM: Economics, Information Technology and Systems, Marketing, Finance, Accounting and Control, Quantitative Methods and Operations Management, Strategic Management, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources.

Pondicherry University, a central university with great reputation and prestige has separate school for Management Education. The School of Management has departments of Commerce, Management, Economics, Tourism Studies, Banking Technology and International Business.
