NPTI Nagpur PGDC CET for Thermal Power Plant Engineering

National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Nagpur is inviting applications for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Thermal Power Plant Engineering. The NPTI shall conduct PGDC CET (Common Entrance Test) for short listing the candidates. It is a highly job oriented course with a duration of one year. Selected candidates will have formal training at NPTI centers at Nagpur (Maharashtra), Badarpur (New Delhi), Durgapur (West Bengal), Neyveli (Tamil Nadu), Guwahati (Assam) and Nangal (Punjab). Candidates will also get on job training at nearby Thermal Power Stations and NPTI simulators at Faridabad or Badarpur or Nagpur. Following are details of eligibility, fee, selection and application procedure:

Course: PGDC in Thermal Power Plant Engineering: 340 Seats (Nagpur – 65, Badarpur – 65, Durgapur – 65; Neyveli – 65; Guwahati – 40; Nangal – 40). NPTI has announced PGDC CET notification for 2012-13. You can get the nature and pattern of question paper along with the notification details in another post.

Eligibility: Applicants must have B.Tech/ B.E. or equivalent in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Power/ Electronics / Control and Instrumentation Engineering. Those candidates appearing in their final year examination can also apply. They need to submit certificates at the time of counseling. Age must be below 27 years as on 31-08- 2011. Selection will be based on Merit in a Common Entrance Test (CET) result followed by counseling.

Fee for non sponsored candidates is Rs.1, 80,000 (in 3 installments). For candidates sponsored from SEBs / PSUs / Private Utilities fee is Rs.2,80,000/-. Sponsored candidates have to pay lump sum at the time of admission. Though the fee is is high for a one year course, it is worth trying for education loan as the there are good placement opportunities for the successful candidates.

Candidates have to apply online with a DD for registration fees of Rs.800/- dranw in favour of ‘NPTI Nagpur’, payable at Nagpur. Other details are available on www.npti.in and www.nptinagpur.com .

        for getting the mail and search npti.all the id and password is given in ur mail.after getting id and password .u login npti website and check all you status about application form or payment recieved or not.
