AcSIR Ph.D Admissions in Engineering and Sciences 2013-14

Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission into Ph.D. programmes in Sciences and Engineering disciplines for the academic year 2013 – 14. Selection will be made through written test / interview for admission.

Eligibility: Applicants must have Graduation / Post Graduation in Engineering / Technology / Medicine / Pharmacy or B.S or PG in relevant disciplines. Candidates must have a valid a valid National level fellowship for admission to Ph.D in Sciences and a valid GATE score / UGC / CSIR NET / NBHM or equivalent fellowship is essential qualification for admission to Ph.D in Engineering.

VIT and ARAI to offer Research in Auto Engineering

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, India’s reputed private university for Engineering education and Pune-based Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) have joined hands to start a doctoral degree programme. The programme is aimed at promoting world class research in automotive engineering and related disciplines.

As per the MoU between the organizations, engineering practitioners and the scholars can carry out their research work at VIT or ARAI. The location will depend on the research topic chosen by the candidate.

Candidates sponsored by industries also will be admitted to this programme. The research areas offered under this new programme are newer materials, alternate energy sources, power train, new manufacturing techniques, engine, emission control and Mechatronics.

The candidates admitted into doctoral programme would be jointly guided by the faculty at VIT University and senior Engineers of ARAI. Both the institutes are already offering joint B.Tech. and M.Tech programmes in Automotive Engineering.
