33 New Gurukulas, 15 Degree Colleges in Telangana

BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar said that the state government is making special efforts for the educational development of the backward communities. As part of this, every year the number of Gurukula educational institutes for BC students is increasing. On Wednesday, the Minister held a review with the senior officials of the BC Welfare Department in his chamber on the issues of formation of new gurukulas, upgradation and so on.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that the government has decided to start a gurukula school in every district. For this, the officials were ordered to take necessary steps to establish 33 new schools in 33 districts. It has been revealed that this year, 4 new gurukula schools are being upgraded as junior colleges and instructions have been issued in this regard. It has been clarified that 115 more schools will be upgraded as junior colleges next year.

He explained that currently there is only one degree college under the BC Welfare Department and another 15 degree colleges will be established from this academic year. Minister Gangula has directed the Secretary of BC Gurukula Society to prepare proposals in this regard. It has been suggested that the courses should be diversified in these degree colleges and for this the Telangana Council of Higher Education should be co-operated.

He said that out of the six courses offered in the degree colleges, three new ones should be introduced and linked with them as per the requirements of the industrial sector. It is suggested to introduce courses like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Technology, SAP, Nutrition Food Technology, Fashion Technology, Textile Technology, BBA, BCom Computers, MPCS, MSCS college wise. Through these, at the time of completion of education, the campus placements should be organized by the Gurukula Society and to this extent, quality standards should be followed in the colleges.

21 more BC Study Circles: Minister Gangula Kamalakar has directed the officials to formulate activities for setting up 21 more BC Study Circles in the state. For the construction of self-respecting buildings, the construction responsibilities are being entrusted to the castes formed as a single community. It has been revealed that six more castes have been formed as a single community and construction permits will be given to them on the 8th of this month. He said that the construction of those which have not been formed as a single association will soon be started under the government. BC Welfare Department Chief Secretary Burra Venkatesham participated in the meeting.

ANM and MPHA Recruitment Online Exams, Model Papers and Mock Tests

ANM and MPHA recruitments are in progress by Directorate of Medical Education (DME) in Andhra Pradesh for Grama and Ward Sachivalayams.
