The Kishore VaigyanikProtsahanYojana (KVPY) is aimed at encouraging students of Basic Sciences to take up research courses and careers in Science. The notification for the award of KVPY has been announced by KVPY authorities for the year 2014-15. Here are more details of the fellowship programme:
1. SA/ SX/ SB – Candidates will get these fellowships 1st to 3rd years of B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math. / Integrated M.Sc. /M.S courses.. Monthly Fellowship: Rs.5000
2. SA/ SX/ SB – Candidates will get these during M.Sc. / 4th to 5th years of Integrated M.Sc. /M.S. Monthly Fellowship: Rs.7000
Stream SA: Students who have enrolled in XI Standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2014-15 and secured minimum of 80 percent marks in aggregate in Mathematics and Science subjects in the X Standard Board examination can apply.
Stream SX: Candidates enrolled in XII Standard/ (+2) (Science subjects) during the academic year 2014–15 are eligible.
Stream SB: Students enrolled in the 1st year of UG program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics and Biology leading to B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Stat./ B.Math./ Int. M.Sc./ M.S. during the academic year 2014–15 are eligible.
Selection Procedure: Based on Aptitude Test and Interview.
