UGC Scholarships, Felowships, Research Awards for 2014-15

University Grants Commission (UGC) periodically conducts various competitive examinations / interviews for the award of scholarships, fellowships and research awards. Following are details of various scholarships for the academic year 2014-15. Last date for the submission of applications also given along with fellowship / scholarship.

1) Post Doctoral Fellowships for Women: 16 August 2014
2) Research Award: 16 August 2014
3) Emeritus Fellowship: 16 August 2014
4) Rajiv Gandhi Fellowships for SC / ST Candidates: 25 August 2014
5) Maulana Azad National Fellowships for Minorities Students: 30 August 2014
6) Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowships for Persons with Disability: 25 August 2014
7) Post Doctoral Fellowships for SC / ST candidates: 30 August 2014
8) Post Graduation Scholarship for Professional Courses for SC / ST candidates: 30 August 2014
9) Indira Gandhi PG Scholarship for Single Girl Child: 15 September 2014
10) PG Scholarships for University Rank Holders: 16 September 2014.

Candidates have to submit applications for all these scholarships through online mode only. Website for online submission of applications is www.ugc.gov.in.

DST Inspire Faculty Scheme for Research Career 2014

Inspire Faculty Scheme notification has been released for 2014. This is aimed at assured opportunity for Research Career for young researchers. Candidates should be in the age group of 27-32 years.

Eligibility: Applicants should have Ph.D. (in science, mathematics, engineering, pharmacy, medicine, and agriculture related subjects).
Number of Inspire Faculty positions per year: 1000
Candidates should apply in Direct Mode or Nomination mode in the online.

Candidates choosing ‘Direct Mode’ must apply in the prescribed format of ‘Direct Mode (A)’ to The Executive Secretary, Indian National Science Academy (INSA), Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, New Delhi. Last date is 14th August, 2014.
