Vidya Lakshmi Scheme and Portal – Apply Online for Education Loans

The Government of India has launched a new portal called Vidya Lakshmi (www.vidyalakshmi.co.in) for the benefit of the students. The portal is aimed at providing loans for the students aspiring to go for higher education.

The students can apply for education loans through this portal. SBI, IDBI, Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Kotak Mahindra, and several other banks are part of this program. About 13 banks have partnered with this scheme and the number is growing. The Government of India has launched this website on the occasion of Independence day.

The students have to register through the website and can apply online for the education loan. There are three easy to follow steps to register on the website.

The students have to register online initially. After that they have to fill the single application form which will be suitable for all the participating banks. Then apply for multiple banks as per the guidelines on the website. The details of the Vidya Lakshmi loan scheme is available on the website.

CSAB Counseling 2013 – Announcement for OBC and PWD Candidates

Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has issued an announcement for the attention of all the candidates reporting to CSAB Counseling 2013. All the candidates should note that it is mandatory for OBC candidates to submit OBC certificates issued only on or after 1 June 2012. The certificate should be issued by competent authority.

All the persons with disabilities (PWD) candidates will be sent to a medical board at MGM hospital for verification. The doctors will be available between 10 AM – 12 Noon on the counseling dates.

All the PWD candidates must report to the institution before 9-30 AM. The seats of the candidates those failed to report will be cancelled. Medical Board will be closed on Sundays.
