BSc Aeronautics Program in Jamia Milia Islamia University

Jamia Milia Islamia has launched an innovative modern program for the aspirants of career in science stream. Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Jamia Milia Islamia (Jamia University) has started B.Sc Aeronautics in association with Pawan Hans Limited. The course is offered in Mechanical and Avionics streams and it is a degree program. The admissions are open for the academic year 2018-19.

Selected candidates will have an opportunity to appear in various modules of DGCA. The students will also get Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence from DGCA after successful completion of the program.

Duration and Training:

Duration of the course is three years or six semesters. First 5 semesters of the program will be a mix of theory and practical classes. The students will undergo practical / hands on experience / training in live helicopter / aircraft in the sixth semester, that is last semester.

Application Forms:

Candidates may obtain online application form which is available on JMI portal jmi.ac.in and also at www.jmicoe.in. The application fee is Rs. 700. There will be an entrance examination on 29th July 2018. The last date for the submission of online applications is 14th July 2018.

Number of seats:

B.Sc Aeronautics will have 60 seats. These are divided into 30 seats each in Mechanical and Avionics streams.

Eligibility Requirement:

Candidates should have Senior Secondary School Certification / Intermediate / 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as main subjects. They must have secured at least 55 percent marks.

Entrance Exam Pattern:

The entrance test will be for 2 hours. All the questions will be in multiple choice type. The admissions will be based on merit and reservation policy of the University.

Fee:

The annual fee for B.Sc Aeronautics program of Jamia University is Rs. 1,30,000. This has to be paid by the student annually. The classes for the selected candidates will commence from 20th August 2018.
