Anna University has announced TANCET 2012 notification. Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2012) notification for admission to Post Graduate professional programmes such as MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Plan in Govt. and Private affiliated professional colleges in Tamil Nadu. The TANCET 2012 will be held on 31st March (For MBA and MCA) and 1st April 2012 (For all other courses). All the university departments and colleges of Anna University conduct admissions for the academic year 2012-2013 based on TANCET 2012 results.Download of TANCET 2012 hall tickets and TANCET 2012 results will be announced on the website http://www.annauniv.edu/ or tnresults.nic.in. . Following are details of TANCET 2012 eligibility, application procedure, download of hall tickets, TANCET 2012 Key, results and counseling procedure. TANCET 2011 Cut Offs will give you an understanding of the last year cut off ranks for various colleges. We may also provide these details very soon.
Eligibility Requirements:
1) For MBA and MCA : Applicants should have passed in any Bachelor’s Degree with 10 + 2 + 3/4 years pattern or must have passed in any Degree with 10 + 3 (Diploma) + 3 years pattern or B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Pharm degree. Candidates with AIME degree and with 2 years regular full time teaching or industrial experience are also eligible to apply. They must have obtained at least 50 percent marks in the degree examinations. Reserved candidates need minimum 45 percent marks. For MCA course, candidates must have studied Mathematics at + 2 level as one of the main subjects.
2) M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Arch./ M.Plan: Candidates should have studied BE/ B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. Computers etc. Applicants are requested to refer www.annauniv.edu for complete details of eligibility. Candidates who have obtained the qualifying degree through evening programmes or lateral degree candidates other than BE / B.Tech are not eligible for TANCET 2012. Those appearing for the final year examinations are eligible to apply.
Application Procedure: Interested candidates can apply online through www.annauniv.edu/tancet2012 . There will be a common application form for all the courses. Application fee is Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC / ST Candidates of Tamil Nadu). If a candidate is appearing for more than one programme, he / she has to pay the prescribed fee for each programme separately. Fee should be paid as DD drawn in favor of ‘The Director, Entrance Examinations, Anna University, payable at Chennai, obtained from any Nationalized bank on or after 22-01-2012. The completed application forms should be sent to The Secretary, TANCET, Centre for Entrance Examinations, Anna University, Chennai – 600025. Last date for the receipt of applications is 25-02-2012.

TANCET 2012 Hall Tickets Download, Results and Counseling Schedule: Those applied for the TANCET 2012 can download hall tickets /admit cards from the university website at http://www.annauniv.edu . TANCET 2012 Results and counseling procedure also will be announced on that website or you can refer tnresults.nic.in for results. TANCET 2012 Counseling is likely to be announced during June 2012. Anna University, Tamilnadu will supervise the entire admission process through TANCET 2012. You can download rank cards / marks fro mthe above websites after the announcement of results.
