Notification for CSIR UGC NET 2022 Released

The registration process for CSIR UGC NET 2022 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This joint exam is conducted for the posts of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Lectureship (LS) /Assistant Professor in the field of Science and Technology. The exam is conducted in CBT for the time period of 3 hours by NTA. The last date to register for the exam is August 10, 2022 (11:50 pm).

Steps to apply for CSIR UGC NET 2022:

  1. Visit the official website of NTA – csirnet.nta.nic.in
  2. Click on “Registration for Joint CSIR UGC NET June 2022”.
  3. Register and upload the required documents.
  4. Pay the application fees and submit the form.
  5. Take print of the application form for future references.

Application fees – General/General-EWS category applicants will be charged an application fees of Rs 1000. OBC-NCL category applicants will be charged Rs 500. SC/ST/Third Gender candidates are required to pay Rs 250 whereas PWD candidates are not required to pay application fees.

UGC – NET Online Exams from 9th December 2018

In a key development, UGC has decided to conduct NET (National Eligibility Test) December 2018 examinations online. UGC – NET is for granting lectureship and junior research fellowship for the qualified candidates. Online UGC – NET will be conducted in 100 subjects from 9th December to 23rd December 2018. The exam is supervised by MHRD, Government of India.

Eligibility:

Candidates need Masters degree in the discipline / subject concerned with at least 55 percent marks. OBC, SC, ST and PwD candidates need minimum 50 percent marks to be eligible for UGC – NET.

Age Requirements:

No age restrictions for Lectureship. But candidates’ age should be below 30 years as on 1st December 2018 for the grant of JRF.

Exam Mode:

Computer based exam will be conducted for both the papers. Paper 1 is common for all the aspirants. Paper 2 is related to the subject opted by the candidates.
Paper 1: 50 questions will be asked for 100 marks. Duration is one hour.
Paper 2: 100 questions for 200 marks and duration is two hours.

Online Applications:

Only online applications are accepted by the candidates. Fee is Rs. 800 for General and Rs.400 for OBC and Rs.200 for SC, ST, PWD, Transgender candidates. Last date for online application submission is 30th September 2018. For more information, you may also check ntanet.nic.in .

Exam Preparation:

Paper 1 is meant for testing research and teaching aptitude of the candidates. Questions will be asked on the issues related to teaching methods, English, Synopsis, Research Proposal etc. Paper 2 tests the subject knowledge of the candidate. The questions will be in post graduation standard. Hence candidates have to be thorough in standard textbooks prescribed for PG courses in the subject concerned.
