UGC NET June 2012 Results likely in November

University Grants Commission will release UGC NET June 2012 Results during November – December 2012. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has conducted the National Educational Test (NET) on 24th June 2012. About 7 lakhs candidates were appeared for the examination. The huge response is due to the changes in the examination pattern. The results can be obtained from http://ugcnetonline.in or www.ugc.ac.in.

It is estimated that about 47000 candidates appeared for the UGC NET examination in New Delhi center alone in a total of 105 exam centers. Another 200 candidates who did not receive hall tickets/ admit cards have taken the examination at Indraprastha University center.

UGC has changed the examination structure from June 2012. The descriptive paper (Paper – III) has been changed to objective type. With this change all the papers in the examination will be in objective multiple choice type only. Lakhs of students find it easier than the earlier UGC NET with the changes pattern.

Candidates those qualified for NET – JRF will get a fellowship to pursue M.Phil and Ph.D programmes in the Universities. They will also be eligible for lectureship. Candidates who have qualified in NET for Lectureship will not receive any fellowship. But they are eligible for lectureship and can join in research courses without fellowship.

UGC NET June 2012 Hall Tickets and Results

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has informed that the Hall Tickets / Admit Cards for the NET examination to be held on 24th June 2012 across the country have already been dispatched. Candidates who did not receive the hall tickets on time can contact UGC NET coordinators in concerned university campuses. Those applied in Osmania University, Hyderabad region can contact Admissions Directorate for duplicate hall tickets.

Results of UGC NET: UGC conducts NET every year in June and December. The results of the UGC – NET June 2012 will be released generally in the month of October. Results of UGC NET conducted in December will be released in the month of April. Results will be published in Employment News along with UGC website at http://www.ugc.ac.in/inside/net.html#result .

The examination pattern has been changed from June 2012. All the three papers will be given in objective mode only. Candidates will have choice in Paper 1 and they can attempt all the questions in Paper 2 and Paper 3. Earlier, Paper 3 was in descriptive mode. All the three papers will carry a maximum of 350 marks.
