SRMEEE 2012 for Engineering in SRM University

SRM University, Tamilnadu has announced notification for SRMEEE 2012 for admission to UG and Post Graduate programmes in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture and various other programmes for the academic year 2012-13. Courses offered are B.Tech, B.E., B.Des. (Interior Design), B.Arch., M.Tech., M.Arch., B.D.S., B.Pharm., M.Pharm., M.C.A., M.B.A., B.Sc., (Nursing), Ph.D. etc. SRM University has campuses at Kattankulanthu, Ramapuram, Trichy, Vadapalani and Modi Nagar (Delhi). Old question papers of SRMEEE are available on the website mentioned below. Following are details of eligibility and application procedure:

Eligibility For Engineering Programmes: For B.Tech, applicants should have passed in 10+2 or its equivalent with minimum 70 percent aggregate in mathematics, physics and chemistry. For B.Tech in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Bioinformatics, Food Process Engineering, and Genetic Engineering, candidates should have at least 70 percent aggregate in Mathematics / Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Candidates who have attempted Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the SRMEE 2012 are eligible for all the B.Tech. Degree programs.

B. Tech Specialisations: Aerospace, Electrical and Electronics, Bioinformatics, Mechatronics, Biomedical, Automobile, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Electronics and Instrumentation, Food and Process, Electronics and Communication, Information and Telecommunication, Genetic, Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical, Information Technology, Nanotechnology and Software Engineering.

SRMEEE 2012 (SRM Entrance Examination) for admission to all the programs in the Engineering, Health Sciences, Management, Science and Humanities will be held on 29th January 2012. Interested candidates can apply online through SRM University website www.srmuniv.ac.in . You can also download application for the website and send it along with all the required documents and copies of certificates. Applicantions can also be purches from the designated bank branches of SBI, Karur Vysya Bank, Axis Bank, Indian Bank, City Union Bank etc.

Important Dates for SRMEEE 2012:

1). Start of Issue of application forms: 27th November 2011
2) Last date for receipt of Applications:
– For Engineering and Technology (B.Tech, B.Des., B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Arch, MCA): 31st July 2012 for UG and 31st August 2012 for PG programmes.
– For all programmes in Management, Science and Humanities and Medicine and Health Sciences: 31st March 2012

Anna University Distance MBA, MCA and MSc Admissions 2012

Centre for Distance Education, Anna University, Chennai (Tamilnadu) has announced notification for admission to MBA, MCA and M.Sc programmes for calender year 2012 batch. All these programmes will offered in distance mode. Printed application forms can be obtained from the Center for distance education of the University. The cost of application is Rs. 650. Fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of ‘The Director, Centre for Distance Education, Anna University, Chennai – 600025’. Following are details of programmes, eligibility and application procedure:

1) Master of Business Administration (MBA): Duration is 2 years, Specialisations offered are General Management, Technology Management, Financial Services Management, Retail Management, Health Services Management and Human Resources Management. Eligibility: Applicants should have passed in Bachelors Degree in 10+2+3 mode and also have qualified in Distance Education Entrance Test (DEET) of Anna University.

2) Master of Computer Applications (MCA): Duration is 3 years or 6 semesters. Eligibility: Candidates should have passed in degree of 3 years with Maths at HSC / Intermediate OR degree level along with a pass in DEET conducted by Anna University.

3) Master of Science (M.Sc) in Information Technology: Duration is 2 years or 4 semesters. Qualification: Applicants should have B.Sc. in any of these subjects: Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, Computer Technology, Applied Science, Applied Science – Computer Technology, Computer Science, Applied Science – Information Technology, Applied Science – Computer Systems Maintenance and Networking, Electronics, B.C.A., B.E.S. or equivalent degree. They should also pass in DEET of Anna University.

Application forms can also be obtained from Study Centres of Anna University located at Madurai, Trichy and Vellore. Forms and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website of the University at www.annauniv.edu/cde. Entrance examination will be conducted on 29th January 2012 at Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy and Vellore. There will be no entrance exam for M.Sc. (IT) programme. Completed applications for all the courses will be sent to ‘Director, Centre for Distance Education, Anna University, Chennai – 600025. Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 9th January 2011.
