For those interested in higher courses in Medicine, Sri Ramachandra University is offering DM and M.Ch programmes. Sri Ramachandra University, Porur (Chennia – Tamilnadu) has announced notification for admission to DM and M.Ch courses for the academic year 2012-13. Sri Ramachandra University is accredited with A Grade by NAAC. Sri Ramachandra Medical Colleges and Research Center is inviting applications for the following programmes:

1. Group A Courses: D.M. in Cardiology, Neurology, Nephrology, Medical Gastroenterology, Critical Care Medicine and Reproductive Medicine.
2. Group B Courses: M.Ch in Neuro Surgery, Urology, Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Gastroenterology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Pediatric Surgery.

Applicants should have MD General Medicine or MD Pediatrics or its equivalent qualification based on the course they are applying. Interested candidates can download application forms from the University website www.sriramachandra.edu.in. Filled in application forms should be sent so as to reach on or before 26th June 2012. Entrance exam will be held on 1st July 2012 at Sri Ramachandra University, Porur, Chennai.

Sri Ramachandra University – PGD in Translational Clinical Research

Sri Ramachandra University (Chennai), Tamilnadu is offering an innovative PG Diploma course in Translational Clinical Research. The trend of studying diseases at a molecular or cellular level and later progressing towards clinical level is fast gaining popularity across the science research community. Regenerative medicine will help in creating living, functional tissues to repair organ function. But it is a long process that needs quality and dedicated research and application skills along with well trained professionals. The PG Diploma in Translational Clinical Research offered by Sri Ramachandra University is a much relevant course in this regard. Following are details of the programme:

Eligibility and Qualification: Candidates with a Bachelor in Medicine or a Bachelor in Dental Science are eligible for the course (MBBS or Bachelor s in Science). Duration of the programme is one year; Course fee is Rs 60,000 approximately. This course is intended to train the candidates to become industry-ready manpower for joining hospitals, research centers and pharma industries that involves in the conduct of clinical trials and pre- clinical toxicology work for drug development.
