Rashtriya Miliraty Schools – 6th and 9th Class Admissions, Entrance Exam, Reservations and Contact Details

Rashtriya Miliraty Schools (RMS) of India ( www.rashtriyamilitaryschools.in) invites applications for admission into Class 6 and Class 9 for the coming academic session. The schools are located at Chail – Himachal Pradesh, Ajmer – Rajasthan, Belgaum – Karnataka, Bengaluru – Karnataka and Dholpur – Rajasthan. Rashtriya Military schools are affiliated to CBSE and run by Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. Only boys are eligible to apply.

Rashtriya Military Schools provide education with discipline and patriotism and emphasize on extra-curricular activities.

Entrance Exam for 6th Class: The entrance exam for 6th Class admissions will be of 5th standard. Questions will be asked on the subjects such as Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English.

Entrance Exam for 9th Class: It will be in the 8th class standard. Questions will be asked from English, Hindi, Social Science, Mathematics and Science.

Education Qualification:
No education qualification is required for 6th class admission. For admission into 9th class, candidates should have passed in 8th class from any recognised schools.

Reservation of Seats:

1) 70% for wards of JCOs/OR of Army, Navy and AF (including ex-servicemen).
2) 30% for wards of officers of Army, Navy and AF (including retired officers) and wards of civilians.
3) 50 seats are reserved for wards of service personnel Killed in Action.
Note: 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST in all categories.

Admissions 2019-20:

Application forms can be obtained from any Rashtriya Military Schools by paying Rs 600/- (Rs 300/- in case of SC/ST) through Cash / DD. It can also be obtained through post by forwarding self addressed slip and Rs 650/- (Rs 350/- for SC/ST) (including Rs 50/- for postage) through Demand Draft payable at respective Rashtriya Military School (in favour of “Principal, Rashtriya Military School”). Last date for the receipt of filled in applications is 15 November 2018.

Rashtriya Military Schools Admission to VI and IX Classes for 2015-16

Rashtriya Military Schools (RMS) of India have issued admission notification for 6th and 9th Classes for the academic / admission year 2015-16. The admissions are open at the Military Schools located at Chail (Himachal Pradesh), Ajmer (Rajasthan), Belgaum (Karnataka), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Dholpur (Rajasthan).

Eligibility: For admission into Class VI, candidates do not require any previous education qualification. For admission into class IX, candidate should have passed Class VIII from a recognized school. Those studying in Class VIII are also eligible to appear in the entrance test for Class IX.

Admission procedure: There will be an entrance examination for both the classes. The exam will be in the subjects of General Intelligence, General Knowledge, Mathematics and English of Class V standard for 6th Class. Entrance exam for Class IX will have subjects like English, Hindi, Social Science, Mathematics and Science of Class VIII standard.
