NPTI Faridabad MBA Power Management Admissions 2013-15

National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Faridabad is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission to MBA in Power Management program for the academic session 2013 – 15. This course is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Candidates must have a valid CAT – 2012 score.

1) Eligibility : Graduation in (BE / B.Tech / B.Sc) Engineering in any discipline with minimum first class marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
2) Duration of Courses : 2 years.
3) Intake : 120 seats.
4) Selection Process : Group Discussion and Interview to be held on 3rd and 4th April, 2013 at NPTI, Corporate Office, Faridabad.

Application procedure : The application form along with prospectus can be downloaded from website : www.npti.in / www.mdurohtak.ac.in. The completed application on the prescribed farmat along with photocopies of certificates / testimonials and fee DD for Rs. 1000 drawn in fovour of National Power Training Institute and payable at Faridabad should be sent to the Principal Director (CAMPS), NPTI, NPTI Complex, Sector – 33, Faridabad – 121 003, Haryana.

Last date for the receipt of application form is 28th February, 2013. Merit list candidates will be called for counseling to be held on 1st May, 2013 at NPTI, Corporate Office, Faridabad .

MBA in Power Management at NPTI

National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Faridabad, a specialized institute for power engineering courses is also offering MBA in Power Management. The specialization is first of its kind in India with focus on power management. Number of seats available are 120. The seats are distributed as General – 53, SC-16, ST-08 and for OBC – 28. Apart from these, there will 15 seats under sponsored category. The course is offered in collaboration with Maharshi Dayanand University (Rohtak University).

Eligibility for MBA (Power Management): Candidates should appear for CAT examination which scores can be used for shortlisting the candidates for further rounds of selections. Sponsored category candidates need not appear for CAT examination. Applicants should have B.E or B.Tech or B.Sc. (Engineering) in any branch of Engineering. They should have secured at least 60 percent marks in aggregate. Candidates with CAT scores of minimum 50 percent are only eligible to apply. Those appearing for the final year or semester examination can also apply.

Admission Process: Those shortlisted through CAT scores will be called for Group Discussions and Interviews to be conducted at NPTI. MBA (Power Management) is a two year program with four semesters. In the first year, candidates will take major functional / general management areas such as Human Resources, Operations, Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Information Technology and Core Power Sector areas.

NPTI provides summer project of 8 weeks duration. NPTI has good reputation in the industries and places all its students in various companies. Application Procedure: Interested candidates can download application forms from NPTI website at www.npti.in . Application fee is Rs. 1000 (Rs. 500 for SC and ST and Rs. 250 for Haryana SC, ST candidates). Fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of National Power Training Institute payable at Faridabad. Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 28th February 2012.
