Last date for the submission of filled in online applications is 30 November 2013. Here are details of notification. Ministry of Rural Development is inviting online applications for Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellows Scheme 2014.

Eligibility: Applicants should have at least a graduate with a four-year degree course. The course may include those like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Engineering, Law, Medicine etc. Candidates with Post Graduate degree with at least 50 percent marks are also eligible.

Age should be between 22-27 years at the time of application.
Selection process consists of performance in All India Competency Assessment Test, final round written test, and Personal Interview.

Prime Minister Rural Development Fellows Scheme 2014

The Prime Ministers Rural Development Fellows Scheme 2014 (PMRDF) notification has been released by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. The scheme is being managed by RD Ministry, CAPARD, State Rural Development Department and TISS. About 156 candidates were selected under this scheme in 2013. The approximate number of Fellows to be taken 2014 will be 140. Last date for the submission of applications is 30 November 2013.

Eligibility: Candidates should have Degree of four year duration such as Engineering / Medicine OR Post Graduation. Age should be between 22 – 27 years and relaxations are applicable for SC and ST candidates.

Selection will be based on All India Competency Assessment Test to be held on 15 December 2013. There will be written examination and interviews for shortlisted candidates. For more details, see the website rural.nic.in .

Seleted candidates will get Rs. 50000 per month during four month orientation programme. After that they will get Rs. 75000 per month in the first year. Total duration of the fellowship is three years. Fellowship will be increased at percent each year.
