NIT Warangal Ph.D Admissions 2012-13

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal (Andhra Pradesh) has announced notification for admission into Ph.D. program in the disciplines of Engineering, Management and Sciences. The Program is offered in full time and part time modes. Candidates from National Research Laboratories and from Public Sector Units can apply under part time category. The program is offered in the following specialisations:

1) Engineering: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering.
2) Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
3) Management

Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance in written test or interview. List of selected candidates will be displayed on the website of the NITW at www.nitw.ac.in after 02nd December 2011. Those selected for admission into Ph.D. under Full-time program are eligible to receive institute fellowship for three years only. The amount of fellowships is as follows:

1) For Master’s in Engineering / Technology Candidates: Rs.18, 000/- per month for the first two years and Rs.20, 000/- per month in the third year.
2) For Candidates joining with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or Master’s degree in Science or a degree: Rs. 16,000/- per month for the first two years and Rs. 18,000/- per month in the third year.

Indian Law Institute Ph.D. Admissions 2012

Indian Law Institute (ILI), New Delhi has issued admission notification for Ph.D. Programme to be commenced from January 2012. Indian Law Institute is a highly reputed legal training and research institute in India. Candidates with interest in legal aptitude and research can apply for this program. The Indian Law Institute was established in 1956 with the main objective of promoting and conducting legal research. The institute was granted deemed university status in 2004 by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Following are details of eligibility, selection and application procedure:

Eligibility requirements: Applicants should have obtained a Master’s Degree in law with at least 55 percent marks or its equivalent. Relaxations in marks apply for reserved candidates. Teachers with at least 5 years experience are also eligible and will be exempted 5 percent marks in the qualifying degree. The selection of the candidates will be through a written test to be conducted by the Institute on 10th December 2011. The test will be held at Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. Candidates with UGC NET / JRF, SLET, and M. Phil qualifications will be exempted from admission test.
