Indian Institute of Chemical Technology has announced notification for admission to Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Ph.D Programmes in the disciplines of Chemical and Biological Sciences for the academic session starting from August 2012. IICT is functioning under the aegis of CSIR and a premier research organization in the country with reputed scientists and modern infrastructure.
Eligibility: Applicants must have first class M.Sc degree or equivalent in Chemical or Biological Sciences OR First Class BE / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering along with qualification in CSIR / UGC – NET with a valid rank. Candidates with DST INSPIRE / ICMR Fellowship in any one of the above disciplines OR a valid GATE Score for BE / B.Tech Chemical Engineering are also eligible. Candidates those qualified in only Lectureship are not eligible. CSIR Senior Research fellow can join directly.
There are 30 seats in Ph.D program. All JRFs selected for Ph.D will be registered under the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) for pursuing research. Candidates should apply online to AcSIR at acsir.res.in . Last date for online submission of applications is 18th May 2012. Selected candidates will get fellowships as per the respective fellowship schemes.
Selection will be based on the interviews to be conducted at IICT for the short listed candidates. Interviews are likely to be held on June 27th to 28th, 2012. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can apply online through www.iictindia.org. Last date is 21st May 2012.
