The PG Diploma course has been developed in partnership with the international pharmaceutical company, Bristol-Myers-Squibb. The programme will be offered as an interdisciplinary training based course with an internship program for the students at the reputed Biocon- Bristol-Myers-Squibb Research Centre located at Bangalore. This course is intended to train the candidates to become industry-ready manpower for joining hospitals, research centers and pharma industries that involves in the conduct of clinical trials and pre- clinical toxicology work for drug development.

CDAC Pune PG Diploma in Advanced Computing Admissions – 2012

The Center for the Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Pune has issued notification for admission into its prestigious Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing (DAC) programme for the batch commencing from February 2012. The programme is conducted by ACTS of CDAC. The course is mainly targeted towards engineers and IT professionals who like to enter into advanced computing. The course will focus on current technology scenarios and requirements of the growing IT industry. Following are details of the program, eligibility and application procedure:

Qualification and Eligibility: Applicants should have BE / BTech, B.Sc (Engineering), MCA, MCS (After B.Sc), ME / MTech or Equivalent (AMIE, AIETE), MCM (With B.Sc), MBA (Systems), BCS, B.Sc(IT), M Sc (Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, IT), B Sc (Computer Science), BCA, BIS (Bachelor of Internet Sciences), Bachelor Of E-Commerce. Candidates must have sound knowledge of Computing Fundamentals and Programming. They must be fluent in basics of VB Programming, Object Oriented Programming concepts and should be proficient with C Programming.

Duration of the programme is 24 weeks. This is a full-time Post-Graduate Diploma Program and designed for the requirements of industry and CDAC has excellent library and laboratory. CDAC will provide assistance for hostel accommodation and offer placement assistance for deserved candidates.

Selection of the candidates will be based on the Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted twice in a year. The CET is an online exam with a duration of two hours. The CET shall consist of 150 questions and each question shall carry one mark. There will be a negative marking for wrong answers. The total fees for the course is Rs. 79, 000/- and has to be paid in two installments.
