Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi announces admission notification for 9th class admissions in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools. NVS will conduct an entrance examination across the country for admission into 9th class in NVS schools.

IPE Exams

63 New JNV Schools:

Government of India has started 63 new Jawahar Navodaya Schools with 2600 intake. These schools have recorded a pass percentage of 37.4 percent in JEE Main 2018 exam. And 84.5 percent students were qualified in NEET 2018 exam.

School pass percentage in Board exams is 75.12 in 10th Class and 74.20 percent in 12th Class.

Eligibility Requirement:

Students should be studying 8th Class in the Government or Government Recognised Schools of the same district to be eligible for admission into 9th Class.

Exam Pattern:

Entrance test will have questions from the subjects of Mathematics, General Science, English and Hindi. Questions will be asked in the standard of 8th Class.

English: 15 marks
Hindi: 15 marks
Mathematics: 35 marks
Science: 35 marks

Duration of the exam will be 150 minutes without any break. Merit list of the selected candidates will be announced on the NVS website at www.navodaya.gov.in .

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi (NVS), New Delhi has announced lateral entry admission notification for Class IX for the academic year 2016-17. The seats vacant in the schools will be filled through all India level entrance examination. The details of entrance, eligibility and application procedure are given below:

Students who have studies / is studying in 8th class during the academic year 2015-16 are eligible. Candidates must not have been born before 1 May 2000 and after 30 April 2004. Following is the nature of entrance / selection test for NVS 9th class admissions:

1) English: 15 marks
2) Hindi: 15 marks
3) Maths: 35 marks
4) Science: 35 marks

The test will be in objective /multiple choice / descriptive type with 3 hours duration. Total marks are 100. Interested candidates can obtain application forms from the office of the Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya of and office of the district and block education officers. You can also download the application forms from the website www.nvshq.org . Last date for the submission of applications at office of Principal of concerned NVS is 29th February 2016.
