Online applications are invited by the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela for admissions into Ph.D and M.Tech programmes in various disciplines for the academic session 2014. The selection will be made through interview.

Ph.D and M.Tech Programmes are offered in the discipline of Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering , Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mining Engineering, School of Management, Chemistry, Life Science, Mathematics, Physics, Humanities and Social Sciences (English, Psychology, Economics and Sociology).

Ph.D – Qualification : ME / M.Tech / M.Phram / MA / M.Sc / M.Phil / MBBS / BV.Sc / B.Pharmacy / BE / B.Tech with NET / GATE qualification. Duration of programme is 4 years.

M.Tech – Qualification : BE / B.Tech with a valid GATE score. Duration of course is two years.

National Institute of Technology Rourkela (NITR), Rourkela is inviting online applications for admission into Ph.D. and M.Tech. (Research) Programmes in the following departments for the academic year 2012-13. The fellowships are available with or without fellowships. Candidates who have qualified in M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Sc. / M.A. / MBA / M.Com / M. Sc. in relevant discipline are eligible. They need minimum first class marks in aggregate.

Following are allowed disciplines: Life Science, Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, Industrial Design, Electrical, Computer Science and Engineering, Ceramic, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication Engineering (Including Instrumentation Engineering), Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Chemical, Civil, School of Management, Chemistry, Humanities and Social Sciences (English, Psychology, Economics and Sociology), Mathematics, Physics and Mining Engineering
