Answer: There are many colleges in Andhra Pradesh accept the CAT Score for their PGDBM courses (equivalent to MBA). Before doing MBA you must have at least 2 years of experience to understand the Business effectively for a better future. Also focus on doing your program out of AP (West / North India) which would give you a perspective of outside world as a learning which is a ground for better business learning. Remember any institute which is good would look forward for prior work experience and CAT score together (That’s Litmus Test in Management Education).

Job Opportunities after M.Sc. – MBA

And what kind of further knowledge and skills I have to gain in order get the job in the above field.

Answer: Your investment in education is more than enough and you should get into a job quickly. We understand from your query you don’t have a work experience before joining MBA. Answer to your query in ideal situation is to get into a Pharma/ Chemical Companies with HR job. However, we would advise you to get expertise / practical exposure to the HR function as a first step. Look for companies which are into Pharma, Bio-Technology, Chemical, Process Industries and any other industries who can provide you with an opportunity to explore your HR skills. You should know a through MS Office working expertise as a skill other than HR. At a later point you can be always preferred by the above organizations due to your M.Sc.

Here is a query from a working professional. That says ‘I am working as Manager – Business Development in a Software company. Now, the problem is my qualification is just intermediate. But I have close to about 6 1/2yrs working experience. I want to do MBA now. Are there are any institution where I can do the PG without a graduation? If yes, kindly suggest.

Answer: You have a good experience and we can understand your inquisitiveness to learn and earn MBA degree. In real sense any PG requires a Graduation. If you want to skip the number of years it may be difficult. There are PG courses which are integrated and starts after 10+2. However, your Choice is to do a Distance mode of MBA which is integrated in model due to your working. Distance Integrated MBA is offered by many Universities / Institutes in India. Alternatively you can pursue a BBA program and these are generally advanced in terms of the course curriculum and design. There are International Universities which provide Online MBA but I have my own doubts on how much you can benefit unless you want to have a PG in Management. You can check for instance: Alagappa University, Directorate of Distance Education and Vellore Institute of Technology (deemed university) offers full time.

MBA (Materials Management):

I would like to study MBA with specialization in Materials Management / Inventory Control in the distance education mode from the recognized university / institute. Also Indian Institute of Material Management provides – Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management (PGDMM) of 3 Years duration (Distance Education).
