IIIT Allahabad M.Tech Admissions in IT and ECE

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) has announced M.Tech admission notification 2012 – 2013. The institute is offering M.Tech in the specializations of Information Technology and Electronics and Communications Engineering. The IIITA is offering following M.Tech programmes with research orientation. Interested candidates can apply online or offline. Online forms can be submitted through IIIT Allahabad website at pgentrance.iiita.ac.in . Filled in application forms along with fee DD should be sent to below mentioned address. There are several other IIITs which are offering qualitative M.Tech Programmes.

Specializations in Information Technology:

1) Software Engineering : 28 seats
2) Wireless Communication and Computing: 28 seats
3) Intelligent Systems: 19 seats
4) Robotics : 19 seats
5) Human Computer Interaction : 21 seats
6) Bioinformatics: 28 seats

Eligibility: Applicants should have BE / B. Tech. / MCA/ M.Sc. Degrees in any branch of Engineering with valid GATE score in concerned discipline. Candidates with B. Pharm. / MBBS/ BDS and BVSc and AH without GATE score are also eligible.

Specializations in Electronics and Communication Engineering:

1) Microelectronics: 21 seats
2) Communication Engineering : 21 seats

IIT Bombay M.Tech, Ph.D and M.Phil Admissions

IIT Bombay (IITB) is offering M.Tech, M.Des, M.Phil and Ph.D Programmes for the academic year 2012-2013. The academic session will start from July 2012. IIT Bombay is highly reputed among its peers for M.Tech Programmes. The Engineering departments of IIT Bombay are highly rated and well recognised across the country. Here are other details like eligibility and application procedure:

1) M.Tech: Applicants should have first class or 60 percent marks in B.E. / B.Tech/ B.Sc. (Engineering) / M.Sc. / MCA / MBBS / M.Pharm/ B.Pharm (4 year degree)/ BDS (4 year degree) along with a valid GATE score. IIT Madras also announced M.Tech admission notification. IITM also has some seats for Non GATE candidates.

2) Ph.D: Candidates should have first class or 60 percent marks in Master’s Degree in Engineering /Technology or equivalent. OR candidates with 60 percent marks in Master’s degree in Science OR in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology along with GATE / CSIR / UGC / NBHM / DBT award and minimum of 2 years of professional work experience are eligible. IIT Kharagpur is another top class institutes offering Ph.D. in Engineering and Technology.

3) M.Phil: Applicants should have Master’s degree in Arts, Commerce or equivalent with a minimum of 55 percent marks OR need B.Tech./ M.Sc. degree with a minimum of 60 percent marks along with qualification in M.Phil. Entrance Test (MET) / GATE/ UGC JRF/ UGC Lectureship are eligible.

Interested candidates can apply online for M.Tech and Ph.D. Programmes and offline for M.Phil programmes. Last date for the receipt of completed application for M.Tech is 2nd April 2012, 4th April for Ph.D adn 11th May 2012 for M.Phil programmes. More details can be obtained from www.iitb.ac.in.
