M.Tech Admissions in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham 2012

Amritha Viswa Vidyalayam is inviting applications for admission to M.Tech programmes in Nanotechnology for the academic year 2012-13. The courses offered are Master of Technology in Nanotechnology (Biomedical Stream or Technology Stream) or for the Master of Technology in Molecular Medicine. Following are details of programmes and selection procedure:

1. M.Tech in Nanotechnology (Biomedical Stream): Applicants should have Masters Degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Materials, Bioinformatics, Zoology) or B.Tech. in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Electronics etc OR MBBS / BDS / B.Pharmacy. For Technology stream, candidates need M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Materials Science, Chemical. All the candidates need minimum 60 percent marks.

2. M.Tech in Molecular Medicine: Applicants should have M.Sc. in Life Sciences / B.Tech Biotechnology / B.Phamr / MBBS / BDS with at least 60 percent marks.

Both the programmes are full time residential courses. Intake is 30 in each course. All the admitted students will get financial support from Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Candidates can download application forms from www.amrita.edu . Last date for the receipt of completed applications is 21st May 2012. Entrance Exam will be on 27 May and Interviews will be held on 28th May 2012.

NIFTEM Haryana B.Tech and M.Tech Admissions 2012-13

National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Haryana is offering B.Tech Food Technology and Management and M.Tech programmes for the academic year 2012-13. Duration of the B.Tech course is four years. Admission to M.Tech will be through GATE 2012 Scores. There will be written test and interview for non – GATE seats.

1. B.Tech Food Technology and Management. Number of seats are 120. Eligibility: Intermediate with Maths, Physics and Chemistry or its equivalent. Age: Above 17 years. Admission will be based on AIEEE 2012 ranks.

2. M.Tech (Food Supply Chain Management / Food Safety and Quality Management / Food Process Engineering Management / Food Plant Operation Management / Food Technology and Management). Seats available are 90. Eligibility: Degree in Food Science / Food Tech and Management/ Food Tech / Food Process Engineering / Food Engineering / Agriculture and Food Engineering.
